EECA Application

McCallum apply to EECA, through the licensee Fraser Technical Services

McCallum have applied for a 2008 EECA grant (The New Zealand government's Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority).  If this is successful, it will allow McCallum to implement and monitor new wireless technology for ground conductivity, as well as monitor new applications of its system.   This technology is needed for accurate design of large Ground Heat systems.

VDI 4640

McCallum adopt VDI 4640 as the reference standard

These guidelines produced by the German Association of Engineers reflect current best-practice for Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP).  The writing committee was made up from representatives of universities, the heat pump industry, drilling companies, design engineers, mining and water authorities.  Work form Switzerland, the Netherlands and Austria was drawn upon, and so they have become a standard for a region with some of the fastest uptake of GSHP technology.
